Disk Space Usage indicator

The Disk Space Usage indicator allows Administrators* to view the currently used and available disk space on the customer contract.

The indicator is visible in the backoffice on the “Welcome” tab of the root “Content” node:

Disk space usage indicator

* Note that the usage indicator is only visible (available) to backoffice Administrators who are also assigned to theSensitiveUSER group.

The indicator appears in green when disk space usage is between 0-60% and displays in orange between 61-80%.

The bar will change to red when there is less than 20% of disk space available. Sufficient disk space is essential for faster processing and to ensure your site doesn’t crash when the limit is reached.

If you’re in the red zone, please reach out to the Brand Toolbox team to increase disk space.

A note about VPS disk space

On a Virtual Private Server (VPS), all site files reside on your server and consume disk space. This includes all website and media files, the Operating System (OS), IIS server, server components, the database, logs and the Brand Toolbox site infrastructure — they all reside on the same server.

Note also that “Archived” assets and image media sit on this same server. If deleting files to save disk space, the files must be emptied from the Recycle Bin.

“Backups” (except for the latest version of the database) are kept on a separate disk and not stored on the same VPS server.
